Practice must look like reality. Schedule quarterly simulations that mirror hot/cold seasons and known weak points (weekend customs dwell, morning receipt spikes). Close each drill with a “hot debrief” documenting what went well, gaps, and CAPA. Use findings to update SOPs, pack-out recipes, and the curriculum.
